Harmony went back to the Vet today to have her bandage changed, He said everything looks good so far. She going in next Tuesday and have another bandage change and sutures removed. Still has to be crate
confined and she doesnít like it very much. She is a typical Yorkie wants to be running with the others in the house. It is going to be a long 8 weeks but when the 8 weeks are over, Harmony has HOPE that she
will be just picture perfect. Harmony is not up for adoption yet, but she will be looking for her furever home when she is just "picture perfect". Check back next week with another Harmony update.
Harmony was released from the hospital yesterday, Wednesday, Her doctor wanted to keep her there an extra day as she needed more fluids. When the doctor proceeded with the surgery to
repair her badly broken leg, he found a fisher on the ulna bone above the crack on the bone. He had to repair that as well. Due to this, the surgery went longer than expected. Harmony now has 4 pins
that are exterior pins that protrude from her leg holding it together. Her recovery time is approximately 8 weeks. Her foster mommy needs to take her next week for a checkup and a bandage change. Then
she goes to her doctor the following week for another checkup and a bandage change. I will have a new picture of Harmony at our next update. Please keep her in your prayers
This is Harmony a very sweet lap dog 16 months old; just adorable, she came to YTNR with a broken leg (lateral condyle of the humerus). This is not the first time she has suffered a broken leg.
She was dropped by a child and fractured the right leg. This time the owner said she was running and the leg went into a hole in the yard, Harmony started screaming so they knew something bad happened.
They didnít take her to the Vet as they were certain it was broke, and could not afford to fix the leg. They got in touch with YTNR two days after she was injured, YTNR took her to the vet had x rays
and put the leg in a splint until we could get her to a specialist. She will see the specialist 8-1615 for surgery. The surgery will cost between $1700 and $2200. If you can help with a donation large or
small to help us save her leg it would be greatly appreciated. Harmony deserves a chance at a full and happy life.
Any donations to help pay for her medical will allow us to help another dog in need. Thank you for your donation.
