Rudy's Special Story

Rudy

May 5, 2016 Hello Everybody, I would like to tell you all about our newest little rescue who is very sick.

He was an owner surrender, he is 9 1/2 months old and weighs only 1 to 1 1/2 pounds. His name is Rudy.

He was surrendered because he would continuously vomit and cannot keep anything down at all. He is extremely malnourished, dehydrated, low potassium bad blood gas very acidic. He cannot stand well at this point due to his illness. At first we thought it was Liver Shunt, however his bile acids came back normal. MaryElizabeth remembered our 2012 Yorkie Rescue of the Year winner, Willow who had the same problem.

He is now being tested for Persistent Right Aortic Arch but without murmur from Patent Ductus Arteriosus. He is going to need cardiac surgery to fix this problem in order for him to have a life.

Rudy is so very sick, these are the only pictures I have of him right now, as you can see he is standing in one.

Any donations to help pay for his medical will allow us to help another dog in need. Thank you for your donation. Sometimes it really "Takes a Village".
