Tilly was pulled from a high-kill shelter in deplorable condition. She was full of mats, had crusty eyes and had been overbred – most likely used as a back yard breeding dog.
After a grooming, a spay and a dental to remove rotten teeth, her sweet personality began to shine through. But even though she was feeling better, Tilly never put her front left leg down.
X-rays have shown an old injury to the joint. At only 8 years old she has many years of companionship to give someone. Everyone that meets Tilly describes her as a sweet and loving dog.
She seems grateful for a warm bed and nice meal.
Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue would like to help this little baby that has endured so much, to be able to walk on that leg and be out of pain. We have arranged for her to have surgery soon.
The Orthopedic surgeon thinks it will be around $2500 to fix her leg. We need your help to be able to do this for Tilly.
