Rarely has a name been so fitting. Little Tuffy came to YTNR after his human parents could no longer live independently and care for him. At ~5 years old, he has the body of a very old doggie – stage
3 kidney disease, and hind legs so ill functioning, that they cannot bear his overweight little body without pain medication. Yet he has the best attitude ever! After 18 decayed teeth were removed, he
eats his renal diet like it originates from a 5 star restaurant, and never complains about portion control to address his weight. He walks up his ramp, scoots his little bud in a circle to help him
turn around, manages to climb onto every dog bed in the house, and is always eager to follow you around or come seek you out. He responds to his name by wobbling over as fast as he can, even if it’s
just used in conversation, and loves a chin rub.
Currently considered our Hospice doggie, his life expectancy may be less than a year, but he plans to live every day to the fullest.
If you would like to open your heart or your home to one TUFF(Y) little man, please consider giving him a home of his own for the sunset months of his life , or sponsoring him monthly to help with his
medical care. Otherwise, a onetime donation to assist him in comfort care will also be very helpful. He will be forever grateful! Please visit our website www.yorkierescue.com and mention “Tuffy”.
Any donations to help pay for his medical will allow us to help another dog in need. Thank you for your donation.
